Jeffersonian Dinner #16

The 16th Jeffersonian Dinner (in the last 10 weeks) was on Wednesday night, with a group of my Core Members and John (Corporate Member)

What would happen if I put a tech entrepreneur on a table full of Corporate Finance Leaders? (lol, I'm sure that's what my good friend, Don Bora, first thought)

The question was:
"What would your past self think of your Current self? Who were you at the age of 17? How did you view the world and life? What did you want to be when you grew up? What did you value back then? Now what if that 17 year old You were to see the YOU right now?"

We got to see the different things that connected us.

Like when two strangers find out they grew up in the same town.

Or when two people find out that they worked for the same company at the same time, and share the same birthday, but didn't know each other until that night.

The best part about these dinners is that you are free to speak your mind and don't have to worry about impressing anyone.

It's about being able to express yourself in a safe space to a group of people who I curate.

I never ever take for granted the trust that my Members put in me and I never take for granted that these are the people I "work" with.

Leadership and Life can feel lonely even with your surrounded by people. My goal with Orion3 is to have meaning behind every group, every event, and be very intentional about the "Who."

Oh and when Apurva Desai decides to write his book, I'll be the first one out here promoting it. 😁

Thank YOU John P. Bennecke for picking up the tab for this and staying out late even though you had an early flight the next day

Thank YOU to my Core Members Allan Koch, Apurva Desai, Don Bora, and Elizabeth Gilman for being there and being open.
