It's NOT about who you know.

Real relationships are about who KNOWS YOU and TRUSTS YOU.

People buy from or invest in people they trust. Unfortunately the world is unfair and it is harder for people who don't have access or direct relationships with people with money and influence. That is not fair, but that's reality.

So you can either sit there and complain about it, or you can be like my 3 very good friends and Core Members in the Orion3 Family:
- Robert Blackwell
- Donald Spann
- Cliff Goins

3 Black men from 3 different backgrounds and with 3 different career paths.

Last night they talked about the relationships that helped them achieve the levels of success that they got.

What are some things that the 3 have in common?
1. They never used the "life is unfair because of my skin color" mentality. They used it as strength and understood that they're faced with certain obstacles

2. They won trust through results and built relationships based on credibility.

3. They didn't make up stories in their heads of why someone wouldn't want to build relationships with them. Instead, Don and Cliff talked about how they used it as motivation.

4. Robert Blackwell spoke about the person who had the biggest impact on him, outside his parents, Keith Velcich. One of the coolest feelings was seeing Keith, sitting in the audience, listening to Robert speak about that impact.

There were several moments of my eyes watering up:

- I told everyone how my best mentor is a guy that I saw on TV and read about in the news 4 years ago, but now is someone who is a close friend and one of my biggest supporters... Robert Blackwell Jr.

- Cliff Goins IV talking about where he grew up to where he's at now. How he used his fear of going broke to ignite the match that fueled his fire.

- Donald T. risking it all, dropping out of college, and going all in on entrepreneurship and betting on himself

Orion3 is MY quest to find the formula, the equation, for 'Serendipity'.

Life isn't fair, but having the right people in your circle helps you become the best version of yourself
